Consign Your Items

THE CHANGE ROOM offers you a well presented and maintained boutique to recycle your own items, so you can convert all the things that are cramming your cupboards and drawers into spending money.


Before you bring them in have a chat to us to make sure they are what we are looking for at the time.

Our reputation depends on consistent quality and value for money, so we use the criteria below for consignment items:

  • Less than 3 years old
  • In excellent condition
  • Designer, or up market labels
  • Clothes FRESHLY laundered or dry-cleaned, presented ironed and on hangers (hangers will be returned on the day)
  • Shoes and bags cleaned, polished and well presented

If your items require dry-cleaning we can arrange it for you at a discounted price.  The cost is payable up front and we take care of the rest.

We usually determine the selling price as we have extensive experience with pricing consignment stock, however you are welcome to have input into the process.  The selling price is usually not more than 1/3 of the item’s original price.

When you come in with your goods they are usually entered straight into the computer system, so you’ll get a statement to take away with you.  It lists the items, the agreed selling price and other useful information.

Your goods are held for sale for 2 months, at the end of that time you can come in and collect your reward for recycling your excess bits and pieces.

We donate any unwanted goods to a women’s refuge.
